Terms of Service
Read the terms that govern Kobbe accounts, subscriptions, acceptable use, and service access.
Kobbe is operated by Michael Alexander Web Agency, trading as Kobbe. Legal and account questions can be sent to support@kobbe.io.
By accessing or using Kobbe, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Data processing (hosted service)
Our Data Processing Addendum (DPA) is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you use Kobbe’s hosted analytics service at app.kobbe.io, you agree to the current DPA published at kobbe.io/docs/legal-dpa together with these Terms, unless you and Kobbe have agreed otherwise in writing. The DPA explains how we process data as a processor on your behalf; you remain responsible for your sites, lawful basis, and notices to your visitors.
Using the service
You agree to use Kobbe in a lawful, respectful, and secure manner. You must not:
- Violate applicable laws or regulations
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or other users
- Attempt to access systems, data, or accounts you are not authorized to use
- Circumvent or probe security or rate limits
- Send sensitive personal data, direct identifiers, payment information, passwords, authentication tokens, or other high-risk data through analytics events, custom event names, custom properties, URL paths, referrers, or similar fields
- Use Kobbe to track people in a way that violates applicable privacy, consent, employment, surveillance, or consumer protection laws
Accounts and content
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You are also responsible for the websites, applications, scripts, integrations, events, properties, dashboard links, and other configuration you create or manage through Kobbe.
You must make sure your use of Kobbe is lawful for your sites and visitors, including providing appropriate privacy notices, selecting a lawful basis where required, and avoiding the transmission of sensitive or directly identifying information to the analytics service.
Plans, limits, and billing
Some parts of Kobbe may require a paid subscription. Plan features, limits, event allowances, retention periods, prices, and billing periods are shown in the product or checkout flow and may change over time.
Payments, checkout, invoices, taxes, and subscription management may be handled by our billing provider. By starting a paid subscription, you authorize the applicable recurring charges until you cancel or the subscription ends.
If your usage exceeds plan limits, Kobbe may limit ingestion, restrict features, require an upgrade, or take other reasonable steps to protect the service.
Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel your subscription through the product or by contacting support. Cancellation stops future renewal charges but does not automatically refund fees already paid, unless required by law or expressly agreed by Kobbe.
Paid plans are generally non-refundable, but we may review refund requests case by case.
Data and retention
Kobbe stores analytics and account data as described in our Privacy Policy and, for hosted business use, the Data Processing Addendum. Analytics event history is retained for as long as the customer keeps the relevant site, workspace, or account active, unless deleted earlier by the customer, required by law, or otherwise agreed.
Deleting a site, workspace, or account may permanently remove associated data. Some records may be retained where needed for billing, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, backups, or service operations.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to Kobbe if you violate these Terms, create security or operational risk, fail to pay fees when due, use the service unlawfully, or cause harm to Kobbe, other customers, visitors, or third parties.
You may stop using Kobbe at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, governing law, and data processing obligations, will continue to apply.
Availability
We aim to provide a reliable service, but uptime is not guaranteed. The service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors outside our control.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
You are responsible for deciding whether Kobbe is appropriate for your legal, compliance, security, analytics, and business needs.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kobbe will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kobbe’s total liability for any claim relating to the service or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid to Kobbe for the service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or EUR 100 if you did not pay for the service.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page. Continued use of the service after changes indicates acceptance.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, including applicable law of the Åland Islands where relevant, unless mandatory applicable law requires otherwise.
